Soroptimist International of Anacortes (SIA) formed a partnership in 2021 with the Skagit Valley College (SVC) Foundation to award ALL our associate degrees and vocational-technical scholarships. The scholarship application process is facilitated by the SVC Foundation and applicants must meet the requirements and deadlines established each year by the Foundation. Therefore, students interested in pursuing an associate degree or vocational-technical license or certification must be applying to or currently enrolled at Skagit Valley College to be eligible for SIA Scholarships. 

The SIA Scholarship Program reflects our commitment to education and what is best for women and girls. Our goal is to promote the education of a wide range of worthy students in our community, including those re-entering the workforce, and those pursuing vocational-technical training. While our focus is on women, all scholarships are open to all applicants.

Each scholarship has specific REQUIREMENTS. For example: educational status; graduating high school senior or continuing student; residency (98221 zip); academic achievement; and financial need.

SIA scholarships offered in partnership with the Skagit Valley College Foundation fund allied health studies, education and early childhood education studies, return-to-work training, industrial & automotive technology, marine technology as well as general studies or other vocational-technical studies that lead to an associate degree, license, or certification.
